The Importance of Primaries

Electing people to Congress who will stand up for working people rather than billionaires begins in the primaries. If we want real change we must support grassroots candidates who do not accept corporate money.  Grassroots candidates need small donations, phonebankers and canvassers to get them across the finish line. Find a few candidates you like and help them out. The candidates below are endorsed by Indivisible, but there are many other great candidates out there.

Postcarding at Volumes of Pleasure

In response to the SCOTUS Callais decision, Estero Bay Indivisible is joining with Reclaim Our Vote/Center for Common Ground to write postcards to Black voters in southern states to urge in-person early voting. These campaigns are nonpartisan and do not endorse specific candidates.

Please RSVP or drop by Volumes of Pleasure in LO and join us!

Because of the wonderful response we have had from the community so far, we are extending the Saturday postcarding through September and we will join with other postcarding efforts to ensure a huge turnout for the mid-terms!

Democracy works best when voters are informed. Many voters care deeply about protecting democracy, supporting working families, and building a fair future—but don’t always have time to research every race. Local and down-ballot races matter. School boards matter. Judges matter. Ballot measures matter.

The Blue Voter Guide helps you to quickly understand who supports each candidate or measure, and assists you in making thoughtful, informed decisions.
